Cabinet Refacing Plus - Williamsburg, VA - Levy

This client is serving our country in the US Armed Forces, and the family was reassigned from Little Rock, Arkansas to Yorktown, Virginia. Another Kitchen Tune-Up franchise location owned by Charlie & Susan Johnson in Little Rock had refaced the kitchen in their previous home.  The Johnson’s kindly referred our team in Williamsburg to do work in their new home in Virginia. This home was built in the early 1970’s, and kitchen was very dark with a peninsula that has wall cabinets and a pantry that served as a room divider. They wanted that cut down to open up the floor plan, but did not want to lose too much storage. Our team took down the wall cabinets, inverted them and used them on the back of the peninsula. We cut off the top of the pantry and put a new cabinet on the back side of it, and that solved the storage issue. Susan and Charlie’s team was very instrumental in help us put this project together as the family had not relocated yet – so we had to rely on their knowledge of the clients preferences as we were working on possible solutions. We couldn’t have done it without the help of our Kitchen Tune-Up franchise family! The end result is a stunning space that is both modern and functional for this family.

When our client purchased this home, they did a lot of updating and the kitchen remained the last project on the list. It had a badly worn whitewashed finish on alder wood, 3/8 inset doors, exposed hinges, and a ceramic tile countertop that has been installed on top of the original laminate. When the previous owner installed new flooring the stove was too tall for the laminate countertops, so the installed ceramic tile on top to make the countertops a bit higher. When we removed the existing countertops to add new granite our client had selected, we discovered that the base cabinets were no too short. Fortunately our installation team was up to the challenge . . . and the project turned out beautiful!  It required a few extra steps, but this stunning new kitchen was created by leaving the existing cabinet boxes in place, which can be hard to believe from the photos. The existing flooring & appliances remained in place. Our clients are delighted with their kitchen and we are grateful to them for their confidence and patience white we sorted out the details to complete the project. We are so glad that their neighbors (also our clients) had showed off photos on Facebook of a recent project and referred our team for this cabinet refacing.

Cabinet Refacing - Williamsburg, VA - Levy

This project is a cabinet refacing featuring new custom-made doors & drawer fronts in durable rigid thermofoil (RTF) in our Candlelight color. These clients have lived in their home for over 20 years, and the house is over 30 years old. They have updated many areas of the home including the bathrooms, the roof, the windows, and more. A leaky dishwasher caused them to replace the flooring in the kitchen. The appliances were old and the cabinets needed updating, so it was time for a change.  They were seeking one contractor to handle the entire project and work within a budget they could afford.

This project was a classic cast of trust developed by prolonged marketing exposure and our clients researched us further finding excellent online reviews, a great pre-consultation experience, and our Trustpoints. Our team was the first to quote the project, and they had another appointment with a competitor set for later in the day. During our appointment, it became clean to them that Kitchen Tune-Up was the right fit and they cancelled the other appointment they had for later that afternoon. When asked what prompted them to place their trust in our team, they responded by letting us know that they felt we had their best interests at heart. Because of work they had completed in other areas of their home, they know when they are being treated the way they expect in order to choose a solution from an assortment of providers. Our financing options were also very appealing.

The clients had recently purchased their home but hated the kitchen. They felt the original dark oak cabinets that went all the way to the 9’ ceilings made the kitchen look like a cave. Modifications included with this Refacing Plus included shortening the cabinets and moving the cooktop from the island to the back wall. Upgraded pendant lights were installed above the contrasting bisque island making the space feel lighter and brighter. Our clients had previously interviewed several contractors who all said they only way to make these changes was to fully remodel the kitchen for a cost upward of $60,000!  With the Refacing Plus that we completed and the things the clients did on their own, this project cost them about half of the quotes they received for a complete renovation. We are thrilled they found us on HomeAdvisor!

Cabinet Refacing - Williamsburg, VA - Levy

This cabinet refacing was completed on a newer home that was built only three years ago.  Our clients had a white kitchen in mind when they build their home, but the builder talked them into a cherry kitchen with earth tones in the backsplash and countertops.  Unfortunately they had regretted it since they moved in, and felt that with the 9’ ceilings the earth tones made the space look dark. They saw one of our print ads showing before & after photos of a wood kitchen refaced to white, and gave us a call for a free consultation.  We showed them some other projects of white kitchens with lighted glass cabinets at the top and they loved that look! The gray glazing on the new white doors & drawer fronts helped accentuate the gray tones in the new quartz countertop and marble backsplash. They are in love with the new look, and very glad to complete the project for much less than the cost of a full remodel in their home that is still very new. We are thrilled that we could make their dream kitchen a reality.

Tired old painted white kitchen was truly showing signs of wear and tear. We added raised end panels and barback to spruce up the look. A new countertop was the icing on the cake!

Custom Cabinets - Williamsburg, VA - Levy

This client bought the home and decided to redo the kitchen and add more cabinet and counter top space. They were looking for a special custom look and had gotten several quotes that were not in their budget. We were able to give them their “dream” kitchen at a price they could afford. New cabinets are maple in a linen stain. Customer was very happy!

These clients wanted a change in their dark kitchen.  The layout, countertops, appliances, and cabinet boxes remained in place, but the whole space was transformed when we refaced the cabinets.  We used a Manchester door style in snow white, and improved the functionality with soft-close drawers and the addition of roll-out trays.
