Cabinet Refacing Plus - Newton, MA - Cohen
We refaced this dated kitchen in a traditional but updated door. The new island is in a contrasting gray color with an open wine rack and vertical-grain walnut countertop. The over the peninsula glassed-in cabinets were kept and refaced. Below, the peninsula was extended with an additional cabinet box and dressed up with decorative door panels.
This contemporary kitchen had gotten tired after 20 years. The client wanted something even more contemporary, white gloss doors with no hardware, except where needed. She also got a new bold quartz countertop with a suede finish.
Part of what we love about our clients are their range of styles! This one in particular was looking to venture away from the traditional look of their kitchen and change it for something much more contemporary and sleek. We refaced the cabinets with flat acrylic doors in wired mercury. New floors, backsplash and a waterfall countertop finished off this complete style transformation. We were so happy that the homeowner was referred to us for this fun project!
This customer’s white shaker doors were tired and worn. She liked having white shaker on top but wanted a taupe color for the lower cabinets. We matched her chosen Sherwin Williams color and refaced the lower cabinets in that color. Also, her new doors have a beveled inside edge for a more modern look.
The original kitchen was a low-end “builders” kitchen with flat white 1980’s style doors. The customer wanted to add some depth and improve the appearance. Since the cabinetry was already white and in good shape we just replaced the doors, drawer fronts, and added slow-close concealed hinges. Also, she never had a dishwasher. By removing the cabinet left of the sink we were able to add an 18” wide model!
This old kitchen was small with very ugly yellow cabinets that a previous owner had painted. The existing cabinets were also in bad shape with old, poorly functioning drawers. We added all new cabinetry, and far more cabinetry by adding cabinets along the opposite wall from the original set. This gave us the opportunity to add a dishwasher that the homeowner always wanted, along with organizers such as a corner lazy susan and roll out trays.
The client had remodeled their kitchen 30 years ago in cherry but it was time to refresh and modernize it. We removed the tall soffit to open it up at the ceiling, had the cabinet boxes painted and added new doors and drawer fronts.
