The home which this kitchen belongs to was located in University Village in Chicago near UIC. The homeowner opted for the simple white shaker door and new hardware to replace the contemporary slab doors and pulls that were originally in place. The white doors complemented the existing countertops and backsplash, making the transformation stunning with simply just refacing the cabinets! Crown molding and a light rail polished off this look, which pull-put drawers added to the lower cabinets for help with storage.

This original knotty pine kitchen was given new life after this transformation. The new maple shaker doors with a gray stain made the space look decades newer. The soffits were removed so that the cabinets could be taken up to the ceiling, creating the perfect extra storage for lesser used kitchen items. The bar top was lowered and extended, with the soffits above it and the furnace also removed. The end result complete opened up the space of the entire floor of the home! New floors, lighting, backsplash and countertops were all also installed to turn this kitchen from aged to amazing.

The city view from this high rise was beautiful, however the kitchen was a little less stellar. The new couple who owned this home reached out to us in hopes of updating the style and increasing the storage space of the cabinets. We refaced the original laminate doors with slab thermofoil doors in a stone gray matte color, and installed new countertops to better complement the door color. We also extended the upper cabinets to increase the limited storage space of the high rise. We were thrilled to find that the homeowners were so thrilled with the transformation, that they left a raving review of the experience with our customer care team!
