Modern Reface with Mishell in Roscoe Village
Mishell had recently moved into her beautiful Roscoe Village neighborhood home but did not like the existing kitchen space. The cabinets were worn, and there was no warmth in the space. Mishell reached out to Kitchen Tune Up of Chicago City Central to assist in creating an updated aesthetic.

Holly Lane, local Owner, met with Mishell to discuss the needs of her space. Mishell did not like how the cabinets staggered and felt the design was chaotic. She also did not like the existing soffit built above the range hood. We were able to remove the soffit and install new upper cabinets, to create a clean line of cabinets. We were able to reface the lower cabinets on the perimeter as well as the island. Refacing is a great way to save money and time renovating. Mishell liked the layout but wanted to introduce updated finishes and some warmth to the space. She loved the warmth and calming lines in the quartzite countertops. And the combination of the stained alder cabinets on the island, gold hardware and dark floors, brings it all together. The space is now modern and updated, all without having to go through a full kitchen remodel.
